ABSTRACT:
The main objective of the study was to find out the extent of time required by the beneficiaries in availing the services of Public Distribution System. For this purpose 40 beneficiaries were randomly selected from Kota district of Rajasthan. On the basis of the findings, conclusion was that the beneficiaries had to visit the FPS more than in a month due to irregularity and uncertainty in" supply ot commodities resulting into more time consumption. E-en then they did not Value the time spent at FPS in terms of money that coul'..be earned through labour due to their under employment. Therefore, it requires a lot of improvements in PDS.
