ABSTRACT:
Effectiveness of Integrated Child Development Scheme in Child Care has been evaluated by assessing the Immunization status. nutritional status and hearth status of preschool children of Kasdol block situated in the centre of Chhattisga1h in Raipur District The River Mahanadi life stream of Chhattisgarh traverses the block and the area north to Sonakhan hills is plain & rural where as southern part is hilly with dense forests. I.C.D.S. in this region was started in 1983 and in 1988. It was found that immunization status of B.C.G. and D.P.T. had improved. Nutritional supplement programme of I.C.D.S. has been successful 'in preventing cases of severe mal-nourishment and the prevalence rate of illness in 1988 was lowered in comparison to 1984-85 Survey Findings.
