ABSTRACT:
The paper concerns the classical estimation of the reliability function for exponential distribution with unknown mean failure time, A minimum mean square error estimator belonging to a general class ofestimator has been obtained . The mean square error of the proposed estimators has been compared with other competitive estimators. It has been round thet the proposed estimators performs well over a substantive portion of the parameter space.
