ABSTRACT:
In this study "Situation analysis" as one of the approach of operation research was used to have an insight of the quality of various dimensions of services given under ICDS programme in a rural block.The study among other things, reveals that(i) ICDS programme has played a vital role in bringing about a positive and significant change among unreached Tribal masses.(ii) Separate AWCs need to be established in each village irrespectlve of its small population.(iii) More co-operation and co-ordination between ICDS functionaries and health personnel is needed.
