ABSTRACT:
Total 330 cases of years age group who had contact of tuberculosis indirectly or directly and had chronic illness was screened for tuberculosis out of 330 cases, 268 cases were diagnosed as tuberculosis. Special emphasis was given on Mantoux Test (M.T.), though the baltary of tests were done to diagnose tuberculosis. Out of 28 cases of tuberculosis M.T. was positive in 160 cases 4885 and repeat M.T. was done after 3 weeks and was converted to positive in 22 cases (6.67%). Thus only M.P. help in diagnosis of tuberculosis in almost 67.16% of the cases.
