ABSTRACT:
This paper deals with the stochastic modeling and analysis of a stone crushing system having one Apron feeder, one Grizzly and one Primary Gyratory Crusher. This group of equipments are used to get iron ores form stones in the mineral crushing plants. Failure and repair time distributions of all dissimilar units are taken to be negative exponential whereas pre"Ventive maintenance time is taken arbitrarily. Using regeneration point technique, several measures of system effectiveness which are useful to system managers and engineers are obtained. Also, some graphs are plotted to highlight the important results.
