ABSTRACT:
The possibility of intermodulation of eosinophil circadian rhythm by circannual changes in an ophid was examined. Six groups of healthy male ophids, lour each, were standardized in LD 12:12 photoperiod and constant temperature. Every month blood samples were•taken•from individual animals through cardiac puncture at 4-h intervals over a single transverse time scale and circadian cycles in circulating number of eosinophils constructed. Circannual modulation of circadian mesor and amplitude was demonstrated.
