ABSTRACT:
This 'paper presents the analysis of two non-identical unlts-t and 2. Unlr-t gets priority in operation as well as .in repair. unu-: stops working in any of the two ways : (i) When it tails totally (ii) when its operation come to standstill for some time due to an external cause. In case (ii) the unit-t becomes. down temporarily for ome time and starts functioning again as soon as the external cause disappears. The system· failure occurs only when both the units enter into total failure mode. The joint distribution of failure and repair times of unit-t is taken to, be bivariate of failure and repair times of unit- 1 ls taken to be bivariate exponential
