Abstract :  In the present  paper  an attempt  has been made  to highlight   the  extent of adoption  of scientific   cultivation   practices  of okra  by the  growers Girwa panchayat  samiti  of Udaipur  district  of Rajasthan  and constraints ancountered by them there in. this study is based on the randomly selected 40 okra culltivators  from  the  two  prime  okra  producing   villages  of  Girwa panchayat samiti. The data  have  been  collected    by  personal    interview technique on a well  prepared  schedule. Majority of the okra cultivators were found low adopter of advocated scientific production technology of this vegetable  crop.  However,  the  major constraints faced  in adoption  of scientific  technique  of okra  cultivation  was the  ''shortage  of water  and  lack of proper  irrigation   tacilities". The  training of the  farmers  about  balanced  use of fertilizers   was  felt  as their  adoption with  respect  ot  this  practice  was  found  zero.
