Abstract :   This  paper  analyzes   the  system  of  a high  pressure     oxygen plant.  The whole system comprises   of one compressor, two  dryers   in standby  configuration   and one separator.  Air compressor   is used to take out oxygen from the surrounding air.  The dryer is used to absorb moisture of the processed   gas.   It dries the processed gas up to a fix temperature. Pure gas from the dried gas is separated with the help of separator. Then it is filled in different cylinders. The working of all the units.  depend upon each   other.    After   a random   time    whole    system   goes   to preventive maintenance.  Failure time distributions   are taken   to be negative exponential whereas repair   and preventive   maintenance   time distributions     are taken arbitrarily.  Using   regeneration    point technique. several system parameters which' are useful to system managers and  engineers     are    evaluated.     At last some graphs are also plotted   to high-light the important     results.

Keywords  : Availability,    Reliability,    MTSF.   Regeneration       point.    Expected busy period of the.repairman.    Expected   profit earned by the system.
