Abstract: Semifluidization has now been recognised as an unique fluid-
solid contact technique which provides distinct advantages over both
fixed and fluidized beds individually. In
the present study
and attempt has been made to study
the momemtum
transfer aspects in annular sections under semifluidized condition. Effect of loquid mass velocity. static bed height,
bed expansion ratio. particle size and particle density
on bed pressure drop have been
studied
. The results are
in agreement with
those obtaiined under similar condltions
for circular sections.
