Abstract: Metabasic rock-hornblende
schist and
amphibolite occur as enclaves (50 x 30 to
90 x 60 cm size) in migmatite Horn blende and plagioclase occur as major minerals while quartz, biotite sphene and iron
oxide are the
minor minerals Complete re crystallization and development of schistosity have obliterated almost all the traces of
parent
textures and structures of the rock. The structural continuity and gradational contact
between the granites and the metabasics have been discussed in the light of mineral transformation.
Key words: Metabasic rocks, Granitization, Bastar.
