Socio-Economic Characteristics of Patients Attending Mental Hospital Out Patient Clinic

Abstract:   In the present study, the data of six hundred cases patient clinic of Govt. Mental Hospital, Gwalior (M.P.) were collected. On analysis of these data, it was noted that 65.33% of the patient belongs to Urban community. 34. 83% cases were physical workers. Majority of cases belong to small families and the families whose income were under Rs. 1000/- per month. Only 9.4% patients having family history of mental disorder.
