Abstract.
Sole prints of 180 Telis (93 males and 87 females were analysed for the
presence of patterns on the Hallucal distal hypothenar and II, III, IV
interdigital areas to indicate the bimanual bisexual and interpopulation
differences. The most common configuration in the hallucal area is the loop in
both the sexes of Telis of Chhattisgarh. The second and fourth. interdigital
areas are usually devoid of patterns. The highest incidence of patterns is
recorded in the third interdigital area. Patterns occur more frequently on the
distal hypothenar area than in the proximal hypothenar area.
