Abstract. The inclusions of quartz, felspar and towmaline occur in the white and ruby mica within the pegmatites of Bihar Mica Belt. These are intimately associated with smaller cracks but do not show any relation with relatively bigger cracks.  Quartz inclusions are massive, irregularly arranged and absence of flat surfaces suggests non-influence of platy nature of mica. Felspar inclusions are massive and acicular (radiating nature). The felspar and elongated tourmaline crystals (0.5 to 2mm) are irregularly arranged and do not show any sympathetic relation with the foliation planes-of mica. This suggests a growth under restricted conditions. The present study reveals that the inclusion forming materials were present within the mica. These inclusions are neither older nor formed from the mica but crystallized almost at the end of crystallization i.e., coeval with the mica.
